The collaboration between The White Shirt Company (TWSC) and ArtKetchup started in 2007, when Lola Cashman, the Creative Director of TWSC asked ArtKetchup to deal with the Search Engine Optimisation and Keyword Research of their new website. After just a month, the collaboration seemed so fruitful that when TWSC perceived problems with their current web developer, they asked ArtKetchup to continue the building and maintaining of their website. ArtKetchup built a working website around the existing look and works with TWSC ever since.
During the years ArtKetchup stayed besides TWSC and carried on helping them with their continuous expansion and reviewed the site regularly to meet both the company’s and the customer’s needs. This involved regular redevelopment and refining of both the design and the structure of the site to make sure it meets the changing needs. As a consequence of the lot of work which was done on the site; it developed into a successful E-commerce site.
The website is structured to make sure that the information and images that are continuously added to it, will stay in harmony with the existing look. Also the site focuses heavily on standard compliance and accessibility as laid down by W3C.
ArtKetchup aims to promote its websites naturally; therefore it pays a lot of attention to the website’s contextual content. Thanks to this approach, The White Shirt Company manages to reserve the first or in the worst case second listing on Google for the keywords ‘white shirt’ and ‘white shirts’. TWSC was even mentioned in the English Cut blog and various other fashion related blogs.
